I was born in Northern Wisconsin and experienced a life worth running away from. When I had a really rough day, growing up in the chaos of my youth, I would lose myself in lyrics and music. I would lock myself in my bedroom, my safehaven away from the pain. I found a comfort and a feeling that I wasn't alone by listening to the music and hearing the lyrics. I would learn about the artists behind the songs which inspired me to write songs too. I decided I was going to teach myself how to play instruments as I didn't have any other resources such as bands or outlets to learn from. I knew if I wanted to do this the only way for me to learn was on my own. It took me a year to teach myself how to play a guitar. I was committed to channeling my frustrations and experiences through my music. I practiced to develope my vocals with a vision towards becoming a lead singer in a band some day.

There eventually came a point in my life where even my music could not overcome the chaos in my life. By the age of 15 I knew I had to leave the pain within my home so I went to the city of Green Bay, Wisconsin where I stayed with extended family members when I could. Away from my abusive family, I had the freedom to explore more things. Some of these things were constructive but many would become destructive. I began to get into the party scene and with that became drug abusive. Trying to block out the pain and without the nurturing of a loving adult we get lost in the underground.

Getting lost in the underground and scraping by to survive makes it difficult to trust people and build healthy relationships. Without trusting people and their help, it is hard to overcome the cycle of running and avoiding pain. It took me a long time to recover before I could get back to what I needed: My music, connecting with others and the opportunity to share my experiences with others to hopefully reach out to those who are going through similar bad times in their lives.

As the years pasted by I saw there was a need, that was not being adequately met, to help the children of the streets. Music has always been a bridge for me to cope with the pain of my past. I met several musicians and artists through the years and found them to be caring individuals who where of like mind and encouraged me to bring the path of hope to those in need. I decided to form an organization that brings together that caring for the benefit of the children in need of help.

The Underground Children's Path To Hope, along with these musicians and artists, come together to hold music events to help fund agencies that are dedicated to help these children. The money generated from the events completely goes to this worthy cause.

It is my hope that these children will not have to be alone and without hope any longer.
